The top package (priced at AED695 on a Friday and AED595 on a Saturday) includes unlimited Laurent Perrier Brut Champagne.

Alternatively, the hotel serves a French brasserie inspired brunch at Imperium restaurant, also on a Friday. Brunch is a celebration of food, love and life! An amazing brunch for me should focus on real good food. Taste and flavour is the priority and then next is the variety and selection. Ambiance is important as it helps you enjoy the food!

Brunch is anything but a simple affair. In true Dubai tradition, brunches are celebratory, abundant and certainly not for the faint hearted. However, what truly makes a good brunch to me is consistency. With sprawling cuisines on offer, from the far east to latin America and everything in between, consistency in quality, flavor and creativity is what make a brunch a winner!

Brunch is always a special treat so what makes it extra special for me is the service. Lots of places here do great food so when great food is combined with friendly, knowledgeable and helpful waiting staff and a great atmosphere, that’s a place I will always want to go back to. Oh, and fizz of course! Always the fizz!

The variety of food and of course the quality matters a lot when it comes to brunch. Its good to have a price that is reasonable but the food quality must be complimentary to that. Money well spent at a nice meal is memory that keeps us loyal patrons of the restaurant.

An excellent brunch has to have excellent service. All the exquisite food in the world can’t make up for poor, inattentive, or absent service.

  6. Nancy February 16, 2017 at 12:49 pm

What makes a good brunch for me is the food. Quality over quantity. It doesnt need to be a huge spread but a few options done right. Also, a good vibe, not loud like a nightclub – feel too old for that scene now Haha!

  7. Drina February 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm

I particularly love brunches that serve oysters; but what i really look for is quality food and wine. Like most places would like to believe- skimping on good food and dishing out cheap wine is actually not the route to take.. it turns to trash too soon.
One of my long time favourites is Coya, the service, food and cocktails are excellent- everyone has their A game on.

Now here’s to hoping I win!

With so many brunches to choose from, I gravitate towards those with an emphasis on Japanese cuisine such as Hashi at the Armani Hotel, Dubai. It’s so easy to overindulge when it comes to brunches but the almost zen-like atmosphere allows you to savour the presentation, quality and taste of the offerings. Enjoyed at a slow pace, you don’t leave full to bursting and instead appreciate that the occasional not-so-wallet-friendly brunch such as this is a lovely treat!

Dessert selection – some average brunches can be redeemed by an impressive (and delicious) dessert selection

The cheese course is a real differentor for me at a brunch. This can really take a generic brunch to the next level.
THe ambiance and level of pretension in a crowd is a deal breaker for me. Are you there to be seen and get sloshed? Not my jam.

  11. promise poulose February 17, 2017 at 11:35 am

Ambiance .variety and quality of food.

  12. Erum @TotalSalads.com February 17, 2017 at 2:19 pm

I appreciate it when brunches focus on making one type of cuisine really well rather than an around-the-world type of menu. A well thought out spread of food which makes sense on the table (and in my tummy!) wins it for me.

  13. Cristiano Moulin February 17, 2017 at 7:14 pm

For me, personally, as we do have 100s of brunches in Dubai… surely the service is what differentiate the brunch.

    Thank you

    Chris

Of course first of all quality andselection offood and beverages, but also atmospere and setting.

  15. Karl Aranha February 19, 2017 at 9:26 am

What makes a brunch for me is the variety of food available in a brunch where you can taste the cusines from all over the world. What breaks a brunch is the old and stale food that has been dried up as no one eats from it and so it should be removed from the menu !

  16. Clarinda Campos February 19, 2017 at 2:58 pm

What makes the brunch is the level of customer service that the staff gives you in terms of welcoming me to the brunch outlet, finding me a seat and offering some fresh hot coffee while the brunch stations are well equipped with staff that will help make the fresh food cooked as per my customization. What breaks a brunch is the messy table full of customers plates that are yet to be taken out and the food that are nearing completion that needs to be refilled.

  17. Lisa King February 21, 2017 at 9:48 am

Brunch is all about the variety of high quality food and selection. I can’t stand going to a brunch where the food is dried out and cold. I also love to have a selection of food from around the world and excellent service is a must!

  18. Sarah February 22, 2017 at 8:16 pm

Bad service and poor quality food options are a brunch deal breaker for me.

  19. Ruvena Fernandes February 25, 2017 at 6:06 pm

Love brunching! Hope to win this one!

A great brunch for me in one that has quality food, usually prefer one that specializes in a cuisine. A definite deal breaker is bad service, the best food in the world can’t save bad service!

  20. Dominic Francis February 26, 2017 at 11:09 am

Food , Glorious, Fabulous, Delicious Food tops the list closely followed by superlative warm service, a variety of dishes , unique themes , a lovely ambience, child friendly ( with great food choices…children can be really foodies too, you know!!!) can make a brunch memorable .

  21. Danielle Monds February 26, 2017 at 2:49 pm

What makes or breaks a Brunch is if they serve sparkling/ bubbly. its not a brunch unless you have that in hand. 😉

  22. Khushboo February 26, 2017 at 3:19 pm

I think what makes a brunch for me is the quality of food, the way it is presented and most importantly it should taste good. Also the dessert and ambiance matter as well. I think what breaks a brunch is when there are meat options and the meat is not cooked well, its really disappointing. Also when the service you receive is poor, there is no way I would go back to restaurant even if I liked the food. I guess it’s about how warm you make your guests feel.

What makes a brunch for me is waking up on a lazy Friday morning, both excited to try out a new experience and a bit worried about it. It’s the time when I stand next to the wardrobe thinking to dress up in something fancy or something that won’t show how much I’ll eat=) It’s the moment when you read reviews and try to figure out how much joy it will bring. It’s the best table reserved or “the one over there”, it’s the smile of the hostess & a “hello, is everything fine” from the chef…
For me, brunch, especially the first one, is like a morning before Christmas… Both exciting and a bit worrying.
