Champagne brunch o’clock – competition by Jumeirah Zabeel Saray

JumeirahZabeel Saray - Imperium Brunch - Dessert Station - Dubai brunches - FooDivaIt’s champagne brunch o’clock in Dubai! This year we are, once again, dishing out a couple of delicious prizes from Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Palm Jumeirah.

If you’re a carnivore, The Rib Room’s Friday brunch is a posh steakhouse affair with all courses served at the table, whether you opt for a six-course tasting menu or create your own meal with a choice of à la carte dishes. British steak cuts aside, expect succulent John Stone smoked short ribs, delicate pan-seared sea bass, and a wonderful cheese trolley. A side order of live upbeat jazz and a swing band adds to the fun vibe. The top package (priced at AED695) is French champagne with Laurent Perrier Brut.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray - The Rib Room - Dubai brunches - FooDivaAlternatively, the hotel serves a French brasserie inspired brunch at Imperium restaurant, also on a Friday. Here’s it’s a lavish buffet feast boasting classic French favourites (think oysters and foie gras), as well as continental delicacies like terrines and a carvery – to the tune of international pop music. The ‘Sovereign bubbly’ package is priced at AED575 including free-flow Laurent Perrier Brut champagne.

We have a couple of generous prizes up for grabs for FooDiva readers across the UAE:

  1. The Rib Room Friday brunch inclusive of French champagne for two people.
  2. The Imperium Friday brunch with the French champagne package for two people.

All you need to do to enter, is tell us why you love brunch. Leave your answer as a comment on this post AND using the submission form below. You can increase your chances of winning by commenting and sharing the competition post on FooDiva’s Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest channels using the hashtag #BrunchDiva. The giveaway competition closes on 18th October when the clock strikes midnight, and two winners will be picked randomly (through random.org) on 19th October. You will have 24 hours to claim your prizes otherwise we’ll have to select other winners.

Brunch is the perfect way to unwind at the end of a stressful week at work, by spoiling myself with a day filled with delicious food and drinks, while catching up with friends in a fun atmosphere.

  3. Aneesha Rai October 5, 2016 at 11:33 am

The reason I love brunch is that I get to have the best cuisines with drinks, friends and great music.

It’s the perfect way to get the chance to sample a large variety of cuisines & specialities all in one sitting. Especially if there is a combination of a la carte & buffet as it means the Chefs have the opportunity to showcase their various talents. Combine that with good friends, enjoyable entertainment, a gorgeous location and a few beverages and you have a fantastic way to spend a Friday afternoon!

I love brunch (well adult brunch) where I can just relax without having to run after my two energetic, never tiring children, where I can actually sit down and eat warm food and drink the cold drink, where I can actually have some conversation without being interrupted!
And most of all, I would love to go for a brunch as I haven’t been in ages because of having to live in one wages and it been a few roller coaster of months with never ending all problems!
Sorry for the rant and frustrations I may have steamed out but I couldn’t think of anything else ?.
    Good day and God bless!
    Thank you X

I would like to make the most of the weekend and an early start would just ensure that. Ofcourse having myself pampered with a nice brunch would be the right kind of start to the perfect weekend. Brunching so that I dont miss out on the most important meal that will energize me for the rest of the weekend but at the same time slowing it down a bit a relaxing in full on weekend mode in style. Would love to pamper my better half as well for a lovely brunch. Maybe some movies and shopping later. A brunch date with him would be perfect to beat the weekday work madness that keeps us on our toes.

I love brunch because I get to try dishes and restaurants that i might miss out otherwise. Brunch-time photos always look best with the natural light and make for a great photo on Twitter and Instagram to share what an amazing time you’re having with friends. But, only the best brunches with the best (and real) champagne get me excited!

In my group of friends, and to my office mates, I’m known as the Brunch King. If anyone is looking for me on a Friday, they know where I will most likely be between 12 and 4. With Dubai beings such a transitional social hub, there is always an occasion to celebrate. Be it a birthday, anniversary, or sadly leaving party with friends moving on to better things, a brunch is always the best way for us to get together and celebrate in style. With exquisite food, enchanting beverages, and in most cases lively entertainment (and if not, we bring our own!), the question on everyone’s lips when a brunch is suggested is usually “why not?”. My best memories of living in Dubai for the past 9 years have been at brunch with close friends, visiting family, or season celebrations with colleagues. In fact, this weekend I’ll be celebrating 4 years with my partner and how will we do this? You guessed it, at brunch!

  12. Baiba Beate October 6, 2016 at 9:55 am

Brunch makes me feel that the whole life is a neverending celebration – which is what Dubai is all about!

Brunch outside of Dubai is nothing like Legendary Dubai Brunches!!!! Nothing compares- Over the 5 years we’ve been brunching we’ve had memories that will never leave us. Eating alone in an entire restaurant and having the best time as the food drink and accompanying service was outstanding is one.
Christmas Day brunches, Birthday brunches and my absolute favourite Welcome to Dubai Brunches for the Virgins are all fabulous ?

  14. Naomi Rebello October 7, 2016 at 12:10 pm

I love brunch because of the incredible selection of desserts and of course the variety of food- its perfect even for picky eaters!

  15. Gayathri Suresh October 9, 2016 at 2:12 pm

I love brunch, you love brunch, everybody loves brunch!
It all comes down to the simple equation,
    Good food+friends+ more food=happiness.
And what better way to start the day than with not one, but two meals as one! ?

  16. Neetu s October 9, 2016 at 2:54 pm

I love brunch because it was my husband and my first date five years ago. As foodies, we bonded over the ostentatious food displays and fun cocktails. After all these years and a child, brunch is still our favorite date!

  17. Carolina gomez October 13, 2016 at 5:43 pm

Because it’s the easiest way to combine the best that we have in life: food, champagne and a great conversation!!

  18. Tina McFadzean October 14, 2016 at 8:05 am

Brunch is a time I look forward to during the long work week. I enjoy family time eating together. My boys enjoy trying new kinds of food from different cultures and countries. My husband and I get a chance to relax and just talk about what happened during the week and what lies ahead in the upcoming week. Brunch is great family-bonding!

I absolutely love Brunch because i so love breakfast but hate to wake up so early especially from a late night party! It is a perfect way to celebrate food and the weekend with family and friends!

  20. Sharday October 16, 2016 at 11:24 am

I love the whole brunch experience! Starting from planning my brunch outfit, meeting friends and having a long table to yourselves until ending the day with an ‘after-party’ of sorts in one of the hotel’s watering holes. It’s a full-day experience without even needing an actual reason to celebrate.

Because its my favorite meal of the day!! I always like to start my day with a hearty breakfast even if I usually wake up by 12pm (yes i am a late riser 😀 ) So whats better than going for an elaborate Brunch and enjoying it till the afternoon. That way i got my Breakfast & lunch covered (who knows sometimes dinner too..because i cant control myself when i see those lovely Brunch spreads and help myself to a full stomach..which stays so for the rest of the day 😛 )
But the most important reason Why i Love Brunch is because – Food makes me happy & therefore I am a Foodie (read as ‘Brunchie’) and always love to explore those endless & gorgeous food spread (yes i am known to click numerous pics of my food) and have those good moments to have me go on for the rest of the day!
Hope to have a Brunch at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray soon too <3!

Why do I love brunch?… Let me count the ways… I absolutely LOVE brunch because we know how to brunch unlike any other country! Brunching in Dubai (and Abu Dhabi) isn’t simply a meal with friends, it’s an event. It’s an occasion to indulge and spoil yourself. And there are countless brunch venues to choose from! No matter what your preference, I’m sure there is at least one brunch that can cater each and every one of our foodie fantasies. Oh, and I’m personally a fan of brunch timings 🙂
