Win Entertainer Dubai Fine Dining apps and a FooDiva Dine Around experience – brought to you by the Entertainer

Entertainer Fine Dining Dubai AppI remember when the first Entertainer dining guide launched all of 13 years ago in Dubai, and I would flick through the book planning dinners out, whilst firmly tucking my two-for-one vouchers in my purse. Gosh I wish I had calculated how much I’d saved over the years. Enough to probably buy a restaurant 😉

Well the Entertainer’s come a long way since then and the book is transformed into an app which means that new restaurant openings are added in immediately (plus it keeps a tally of how much you’ve saved!). Specifically the Entertainer Dubai Fine Dining 2015 guide and app have over 500 top-end restaurants and bars, all with buy one, get one free offers – and if you were to use it all up, would save you over AED284,000 in one year! They’re even throwing in a complimentary Entertainer Travel 2015 guide. All for the price of AED345.

To launch the 2015 Entertainer edition, FooDiva has been asked to organise a tailored invitation-only #DineAroundDubai experience on Palm Jumeirah – taking in four restaurants with different cuisines, all in one evening.

So that brings me on nicely to our competition where we have a bundle of prizes up for grabs for FooDiva readers in Dubai – ten apps for the Entertainer Dubai Fine Dining 2015 guide, and one invitation to the exclusive FooDiva and Entertainer Dine Around experience on Palm Jumeirah on February 1st All you need to do is name your favourite restaurant on Palm Jumeirah, explaining why.

Leave your answer as a comment on this post AND using the submission form below. You can increase your chances of winning by commenting and sharing the competition post on FooDiva’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram channels.

The giveaway competition closes on 27thJanuary when the clock strikes midnight, and ten winners will be picked randomly (through random.org) on 28th January. The winner of the dine around needs to be available on 1st February evening. You will have 24 hours to claim your prizes otherwise we’ll have to select other winners.

Good luck and a bientôt!

Would have to be Nobu at Atlantis the Palm hands down – love the finesse in their food, impeccable presentation every time and with a Miso Cod to die for! Great contest Foodiva 🙂

  2. Mehnaz January 14, 2015 at 9:26 am

Mine would be The Beach House at Anantara the Palm. Great Views and Good Food in a beautiful setting perfect for your Night Out!

  3. Rreema Bhatia January 14, 2015 at 9:35 am

Nobu at atlantis the palm for sure 🙂

  4. James Evans January 14, 2015 at 9:39 am

For me it would be between Seafire and Mekong. Seafire does the best French Onion Soup, and Mekong is in the only place in the UAE that I have found that makes Char Sui Pork.

Social by Heinz Beck would be my favorite! I recently went there based on a friend’s recommendation (and the FooDiva review, of course!) and very much enjoyed the meal, the service, the terrace, and the desserts. The amuse bouches are very generous and the little free desserts were as delicious as the ones we tried! The chef came out to greet us at one point and he was very sweet and attentive. It also helped that Social is listed in the Entertainer Dining App so we got to enjoy a really good meal AND save 🙂 I’d definitely go there again!

101 dining lounge and bar at One & Only will have to be my pick.
The Charcoal bbq octupus was superb and the restaurant setting is perfect for a relaxing evening out.

  7. Nancy January 14, 2015 at 10:13 am

Imperium at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The buffet was quite a spread but what I love more is the decor – elegant, calls for my best heels and a guaranteed fancy night out.

  8. shada nazeer January 14, 2015 at 10:40 am

Kaleidscope -Atlantis The Palm my all time personal favourite.

  9. Hymaddy January 14, 2015 at 10:48 am

Hello! I would say Voi, the Vietnamese restaurant at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. I love Vietnamese food in general as it is fresh and tasty, and not too spicy. I have been to Voi twice, one for the Jumeirah Restaurant week and I really enjoyed the selection presented. Although I generally like more casual restaurant, I find Voi very attractive and elegant.

  10. Michael Angelo January 14, 2015 at 11:02 am

Ba Restaurant & Lounge on Fairmont The Palm – one of the best Chinese food in Dubai, ambience was equally fantastic and excellent service!!!

  11. Anita D January 14, 2015 at 11:17 am

Nobu at the Atlantis Palm is the best ever. The high brunch at Nobu is out of this world – simply fresh and scrumptious! The ambience is amazing too:-)

  12. Callie January 14, 2015 at 11:23 am

    Yuan.

The food. The atmosphere. The knowledgeable staff. The drinks coasters that add a pop of humor to the proceedings. The separate entrance so you don’t have to fight the tourists for walking room.

No to mention that it is only 10 minutes from my home.

Whether a chilled Dim Sum Friday brunch or an a la carte all out date night; the food is authentic, fresh and fantastic. I don’t usually order chicken dishes at restaurants but the chef manages to make it exciting in every dish – I don’t think I’ve ever had better (Sorry Nandos).

Traditional in it offerings, the music and decor add a contemporary feel – it feels like somewhere I need to see and be seen without actually being seen (Kim Kardashian knows what I mean).

Keep up the good work Yuan, see you very soon.

The one restaurant we (I, my husband and 9 year old daughter) always return to is Ronda Loccatelli @ Atlantis Palm Jumeirah, the pizzas there are as good as in Italy!
We love the big pizza oven in the middle of the restaurant, it makes for beautiful décor. Sometimes I go for the chicken dish which is full of flavor. And the pannacotta there is perfection!
I’m also a big fan of the homemade almond biscuits they serve with the coffee.

A very close second that I would like to mention is West 14th. The meat is always cooked to perfection, good selection of sides, nice wine list, relaxed atmosphere and a view of the Marina that is hard to beat. Definitely a winner to take visitors to.

  14. Saahil Fazil January 14, 2015 at 1:02 pm

Social by Heinz Beck. Of all the restaurants I’ve been to on Palm Jumeirah, nothing wanted me to go back, except for the brilliant food by Heinz Beck! Even if there isn’t much to eat, the quality is such that by the time you’re done, you’re perfectly full, not too much where you have to lie down and sleep, or too less that you feel like getting a burger from McDonalds. The Rasberries 1.1 and the Rock of Milk Chocolate Mousse, never was a berry person, but after this dish, started trying them everywhere and now I love them! So yeah, Social by Heinz Beck is in my experience the best restaurant on the Palm for sure, and maybe on the best in Dubai as well.

  15. chandni tourani January 14, 2015 at 1:54 pm

    Kaliedscope at the Atlantis.
Every time you go there, you feel better. Seeing all the varieties of cuisines you can choose from, with excellent services and ambience. This place has to be my favourite.

  16. Francesca Verrucci January 14, 2015 at 1:56 pm

    I have two favorites.
For fine dining i would choose Social by Heinz Beck: great service, attention to details, original interpretation of traditional dishes, good wine list, the touch of a great chef … perfect for a special evening!
For an informal dinner or a weekday lunch I go for West 14th: meat is always good, and the view of Dubai Marina is lovely, especially at night.

  17. Mona Girish January 14, 2015 at 2:04 pm

Nobu is my favorite on the Palm – exquisite food, great service and perfect for a date night!

  18. fatema January 14, 2015 at 2:54 pm

Saffron at Atlantis The Palm is mine and my family favorite , the best Asian food we ever had, loved the wok-fried Southeast Asian specialties to Indian naans and Malaysian rotis

  19. Ardina Furtado January 14, 2015 at 3:49 pm

Yuan, Atlantis The Palm. From the relatively subtle yet stunning decor to the friendly staff, must say I had a feeling this dinner would be memorable the moment I stepped in for the first time. We were delighted with everything that we had ordered. And the chocolate rocks, Oh! the chocolate rocks.

  20. Kelly January 14, 2015 at 4:08 pm

Such an interesting competition!!! Living overseas, I will not take part in this competition. I just wanted to mention that this is just the perfect site/forum for restaurants to read the comments of your followers.
Keep up the good work with more competitions!

  21. Vanessa January 14, 2015 at 4:43 pm

West 14 hands down best place on the palm. Not only is the atmosphere fantastic, the food and service are unparalleled anywhere in Dubai!

  22. martin January 14, 2015 at 6:13 pm

The Beach House at Anantara – great food, setting and atmosphere.

  23. Dale January 14, 2015 at 7:08 pm

Yuan at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai – Great ambiance, flavorsome and stylish portions

  24. mafaZa January 14, 2015 at 7:31 pm

I just love the seafood nights at saffron 🙂

  25. Neenu Sajin January 14, 2015 at 11:21 pm

My favorite would be Nobu at Atlantis the Palm (as is the case with a lot of your readers!). Absolutely love the brilliant food served, the fascinating dining ambience and the cordial, engaging service provided. High time I give the place another visit now that I think of it! 🙂

  26. Dani January 15, 2015 at 12:57 am

I liked the one and only

  27. Minna January 15, 2015 at 1:33 am

I have several favorites, but one is over others, for the love of Italian cooking and cuisine I can eat anytime at Ronda Locatelli.

  28. Maura January 15, 2015 at 1:36 am

My favourite restaurant on the Palm Jumeirah is Kaleidoscope at Atlantis because of the beautifully settling, amazing ambience and decor, attention to details and excellent service, the incredibly massive buffet spread with superb quality of food and not to forget the most wonderful dessert counter with everything you could dream of!

  29. Abigail January 15, 2015 at 10:11 am

Seafire Restaurant, I’ve got a chance to taste the steaks but my husband still haven’t. I’ll setup a date night with him.

  30. Karl Aranha January 15, 2015 at 10:54 am

West 14th is my favourite restaurant because of the amazing steaks available and a view of the entire palm near the swimming pool

  31. Sharday January 15, 2015 at 11:00 am

A favorite of mine would have to be Al Nafoora at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. There’s a lot of Lebanese restaurants in Dubai but I find that Al Nafoora serves it with more sophistication and the quality of the food is just darn good. The selection of hot mezzehs (chicken liver is my favorite) are amazing and their hummus is just so good!!
A must try is their mixed grill, of course and it’s good to share with that special someone.

  32. Clarinda Campos January 15, 2015 at 11:16 am

Saffron at the Palm Jumeirah is my favourite as they have some amazing cuisines lined up for brunch every Friday which are amazing

  33. Paulita Hesketh January 15, 2015 at 12:17 pm

Mine would have to be 101 The Palm, a buggy ride into and away from the city, panoramic views, delicious tapas and beautiful mojitos whats not to Like …:)

  34. Erum @ www.TotalSalads.com January 15, 2015 at 1:45 pm

My favorite restaurant on Palm Jumeirah is Seafire in Atlantis. They make delicious steaks which come with a roasted half head of garlic and a small yorkshire pudding. Even though the restaurant specialises in steaks, they also make one of the best Caesar Salad I have ever eaten!

  35. Harish Nagrani January 15, 2015 at 3:03 pm

My favorite restaurant on Palm Jumeirah is Bidibondi. It is comfort zone at Bidi Bondi that make it my favorite, it is Drinks, food and sports. Also great for weekend breakfast & coffee.

  36. Norman Jalbuena January 15, 2015 at 3:49 pm

Nobu would be the one! Good food, great ambiance and hey it’s on the Palm! Done!

  37. Maya January 15, 2015 at 6:38 pm

I would have to say Nobu – it’s been the most consistent in my opinion with food quality, selection and service.

I love the round table outside on the elevated part of the terrace; friends and I always feel like we were transported someplace exotic outside of Dubai … or … it could be the sake-effect 🙂

The Miso Cod is always a crowd-pleaser but it’s not the only delicious item on their menu.

  41. Tammy January 16, 2015 at 10:24 am

West 14 for a relaxed mid week dinner to catch up with friends.

  42. Utkarsh January 16, 2015 at 1:49 pm

Amala at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray because of their concept of serving Indian food without being a messy buffet and level of service.

  43. Simone January 16, 2015 at 10:03 pm

It’s hard to pick just one but it has to be Nobu – love the atmosphere and the absolutely fantastic food.

  44. Sally - My Custard Pie January 17, 2015 at 3:08 pm

Tough choice but I would go for 101 Dining Lounge and Bar at the One and Only. You feel like you are on a tranquil desert island surrounded by lapping waves being served fine food while looking at the glittering shoreline of Dubai.

  45. Neeru Kundvani January 18, 2015 at 12:12 pm

L’Olivo Ristorante at Rixos at the Palm has got to be one of my favourites! 🙂 I was taken there on date night for my Birthday last year.. so memories plays a great role. More so, their Buratta is absolutely delicious with just the right amount of crunch rock salt!

  46. Iris January 19, 2015 at 1:09 pm

West 14 – great meat, good views, and you don’t have to make the trek all the way to the end of the Palm to reach it.

  47. Ruvena January 20, 2015 at 8:34 am

The Rib Room, I love my steaks 🙂 I haven’t been here but have read tons of reviews on it and would love a chance to visit. Seeing that the Entertainer Fine Dining has a voucher for this, I’d be delighted to win. AND i’m a foodie, always excited to try new stuff!

  48. sandy khoury January 26, 2015 at 10:50 am

    B? Restaurant & Lounge
It is the best Chinese restaurant in Dubai, with an excellent service & an absolutely divine food , there is nothing on the menu that you will dislike, The decor is absolutely stunning, classy with a great view of the Dubai Skyline. The lounge is very sophisticated with good music making it a great setting for cocktails and catch up.

  49. Hannah January 26, 2015 at 6:40 pm

There are many to choose but my favorite would be –
101 dining lounge at the One & Only.
Their crab cakes are delicious and so is their garlic butter prawns. We had Sea bream for the main course and it was grilled to perfection which did tickle our taste buds with its enticing flavors and freshness. For desert, warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was delicious.
Food is outstanding with impeccable service.
    Atmosphere is tranquil and calm.
Waiters are friendly and advice on what is the best to try from their menu list.
Overall service is good. It has a fantastic beautiful decor and breathtaking views.
