Brunch season kicks off with a competition – by The Address Dubai Marina

Mazina Restaurant - The Address Dubai MarinaWell you’ve heard me rattle on before about Dubai’s very own Wikipedia entry for brunch, so with the all-you-can-eat-and-drink season kicking off, we’ve got a competition for you. Thanks to the folks at The Address Dubai Marina, we’re giving away two prizes – Friday brunch for four people, and Saturday family brunch, also for four people at its restaurant Mazina.

It’s great to see a restaurant offering brunches on both days. Buffet style, they take in Mazina’s five show kitchens with Asian, Arabic and European dishes, from wok hot Cantonese to the rotisserie grill, all cooked live. On Friday there’s a band providing raucous entertainment, whereas Saturday is perfect if you’ve got kids when Wii stations, face painting and a bouncy castle will keep them occupied. Both brunches offer two options – a choice of soft or free-flowing house beverages.

If you’ve read so far you must be a brunch lover, so enter our competition and taste for yourself. We have two prizes up for grabs for FooDiva readers in Dubaia table for four, for both the Friday and Saturday brunches including soft beverages to the value of AED1,120 and AED1,000 respectively. All you need to do is tell us your favourite brunch dish and why.

Leave your answer as a comment on this post AND using the submission form below. You can increase your chances of winning by commenting and sharing the competition post on FooDiva’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram channels. The giveaway competition closes on 27th September when the clock strikes midnight, and two winners will be picked randomly (through random.org) on 28th September. You will have 24 hours to claim your prizes otherwise we’ll have to select other winners.

Mazina is located on the lobby level of The Address Dubai Marina. T; +971 4 4367777, E; dine.dubaimarina@theaddress.com Open daily 6.30am to 11pm. The brunches run from 12.30 – 3.30pm. Friday’s is priced at AED280 with soft beverages and AED395 with free-flowing house beverages, whilst Saturday’s is AED250 and AED370 respectively per person.

Good luck and a bientôt!

A plentiful choice of seafood – you start your brunch with it, and then keep walking by the station every time you pass, adding a prawn, an oyster or a delicious piece of salmon to your plate at any point in the proceedings (until you hit the dessert counter).

The quintessential brunch dish and my absolute personal brunch fave has to be Eggs Benedict paired with smoked salmon. Healthy and scrumptious as ever, it’s a combination that’s hard to beat! It can be quite the challenge to prepare poached eggs at home; hence it qualifies as my most preferred professionally prepared dish to be had at brunch.

I love mixed grill items with humus and greens!

  33. Renu RN Sharma September 16, 2014 at 11:29 pm

Gotta be a tender, juicy, fatty prime rib. Because it brings back memories of my youth in my hometown, Las Vegas, having $4.95 prime rib dinner back in the day!

My favourite brunch dish would have to be A Big, Hearty English Breakfast (Eggs (sunny side up – but well done, Sausages, Bacon, Sauteed Mushrooms & Potatoes, Baked Beans and if i’m feeling ‘adventurous’, some black pudding). Nothing screams WEEKEND quite like a full english breakfast 🙂
